Registered Dietitians

With only eight percent of RDs in the state of Georgia completing advanced training in pediatric weight management (per CDR), there is a critical need to increase capacity to address Georgia’s childhood obesity crisis. The Strong4Life RD Program is designed to improve knowledge and skills in the area of pediatric obesity assessment, prevention and management. We also offer training for RDs interested in becoming credentialed to bill insurance carriers for Medical Nutrition Therapy services.

Become a Strong4Life Certified RD

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is excited to offer free training opportunities to RDs interested in adding pediatric weight management to their scope of practice. Join the more than 300 RDs from Georgia who are on their way to becoming a Strong4Life Certified RD.

To become a Strong4Life Certified RD, you must complete three of the four training sessions offered (in any order). As part of the certification process, participants will receive Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEU) through CDR and will also have the chance to be part of a network of RDs accepting pediatric weight management referrals.

See our RD referral list.
