Volunteering at Camp Strong4Life is a perfect fit for college students studying exercise science, nursing, dietetics and other areas of healthcare. At Camp Strong4Life, you'll work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta wellness experts to give back to the community, enhance your skills, learn more about the field of healthcare and gain resume-worthy experience.
What you can expect as a Camp Strong4Life volunteer:
- Exercise science students may help lead sessions with the Strong4Life staff.
- Nursing students may help medical staff triage campers and act as day helpers (in the medical lodge).
- Dietetics students may assist with meal preparations and nutrition education.
- Camp Strong4Life also welcomes volunteers without a healthcare background to participate as counselors and day helpers.
Camper Week is July 15-20, 2018 at Camp Twin Lakes in Winder, GA. Volunteers arrive to camp on Saturday afternoon, July 14th. Mandatory Volunteer Orientation is on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 in Atlanta, GA from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m..
