Modeling Self-Care in Early Care Training

Strong4Life recognizes that early childhood professionals play a crucial role in setting a lifelong foundation for emotional development and resilience. This training focuses on educator self-care as a critical tool to support children’s coping and regulation in the classroom. We discuss the stress cycle and signs of burnout, while exploring ways to break the stress cycle by practicing healthy habits and ongoing self-care. This virtual training is designed for Georgia early childhood professionals who provide care to children from birth to 5 years of age, including (but not limited to) early care center directors, assistant directors, teachers, and supportive staff.

The Strong4Life Modeling Self-Care Training is designed to:

  • Define the difference between stress and stressors.
  • Explore opportunities in the classroom to model coping skills throughout the day.
  • Describe common barriers to self-care and how to break the stress cycle.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be eligible to receive 1 Bright from the Start (BFTS) credit hour.

Continuing Education
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an approved entity by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

This training has been approved for 1 hour of continuing education for early care and education professionals in Georgia, meeting Workforce Knowledge Competency 5.2 Certificates will be provided upon completion of the training and a post-training survey.
