In-person safe sleep classes and community events

Chatham County residents who are in their third trimester of pregnancy or are caring for an infant age 1 or younger, are invited to attend a free, 1-hour safe infant sleep class. Classes are offered monthly in English and Spanish, and eligible participants receive a portable crib after completing the class.

The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health, Connections Family Resource Center, My Baby Shower, LLC, Atlanta Public Schools, and the Fulton County Board of Health Maternal and Child Health Program. Together, these organizations will provide education, resources, and portable cribs to birth mothers and caregivers of infants ages birth through 12 months, while supplies last.
