ROAR Early Care and Education Program
Experts believe that 1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday. It’s our mission at the Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children to:
- Educate our communities.
- Prevent child abuse from happening.
- Equip families with the tools and support to protect their children.
The Blank Center works with ECEs on the shared goal of educating pre-K students using the ROAR education program, a child abuse prevention program developed by The CARE Center in Oklahoma and presented by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This program teaches body safety and gives young children and caregivers the tools to talk about—and stand up against—child sexual abuse.
