Firearms are the leading killer of kids and teens ages 1 to 17. No child is immune to the risk of firearm injury. But there are two practical ways we, as a community, can stop this scary number in its tracks.

To keep kids safe from firearm injury or death, we can store firearms securely and ask about firearms in the homes our kids and teens visit. We know asking about firearms may be uncomfortable, and we don’t want to minimize that. That’s why we have tips, tools and talking points not only for safe storage, but also to help you have the conversation and make safe decisions for your family.
