Preventing Drowning Deaths
For kids of all ages, water can become dangerous in an instant. In fact, in Georgia, drowning is the second leading preventable killer of kids ages 1 to 4. It's silent. It can happen in just an inch of water in as little as 30 seconds. And it's preventable.
Keeping kids safe in and around water starts with active supervision, and we can add other layers of protection to help prevent drowning. It’s also not just up to one person—it's something our whole community can do together.
